Student case studies

The following case studies highlight what students can achieve while undertaking a variety of work experience opportunities. They also demonstrate how employers can benefit by taking on students to carry out projects or tasks that have a business impact.

Recent research undertaken by NCWE shows that increasingly employers see offering work experience as an effective way of recruiting graduates, since both have a chance to see what each has to offer. This trend is likely to continue and demonstrates the growing importance of getting some form of work experience before leaving university. Students also benefit by gaining an understanding of what employers are looking for when they come to recruit graduates and so more informed career choices can be made.
