Intel Corporation is the worlds leading microchip manufacturer and takes on students as part of their four-year degree courses.
Placement students at Intel are part of an integral team who make smart decisions that help Intel stay at the top of their industry. Students get the chance to work not just in the UK, but within virtual teams, across the world. It is a great opportunity to work with unique and diverse employees across many different countries. Students act as full partners in making and supporting business decisions, taking responsibility and driving projects. They are also encouraged to follow opportunities and use their own initiative.
There is a large degree of importance placed on continuous training and development throughout the students’ placement at Intel. Placement students can also benefit from a number of development opportunities by enrolling on courses through the ‘Intel University’. This offers both virtual and face to face courses that help enhance skills and personal capabilities.
Alongside the development opportunities offered to students, Intel has a thriving placement student community including a student committee, intranet site, email distribution lists and many social events organised by the placement students. Intel also provides study days and dissertation help for the placement students.
